As Building Condition Assessor / Auditor, you will deliver lifecycle condition and quantity assessment of building fabrics and services, contributing to the delivery of efficient Asset Management and creating value for money and quality of assets. The role will work closely with both AssetFuture team members and respective clients.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver to a project specific agreed scope of works

  • Conduct high quality building condition and quantity assessment of building fabrics and building services

  • Provide high quality floorplan markups

  • Identify and estimate the cost of works relating to defect rectifications

  • Identify and report any high risk WHS issues

  • Respond to any assessment data queries on completion of the audit

  • Conduct meetings / interviews with AssetFuture customers by way of entry / exit interviews

  • Perform on-site inspections involving extensive walking throughout the facilities

  • Assessor may be required to travel to regional and remote locations as required

  • Collaborate and contribute as an effective member of the AssetFuture team

  • Initiate and maintain an excellent level of verbal and written communications with clients and stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • High level understanding of building materials and construction methods

  • Technical ability to operate an iPad, equipped with an in-house data collection app in the field

  • Technical ability to operate a Laser Measuring device in the field

  • Accurate data collection skills

  • Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word - preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple assessment projects in condensed time frames, achieving tight deadlines

  • Liaise effectively with the Project team to ensure smooth and seamless project process and delivery

  • Professional attitude, a strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage customers’ expectations

  • Ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously

  • Ability to respond to constructive feedback and maintain a positive attitude

  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes

Education/Certification

Technical background in Building Fabric and Finishes:

  • Qualified construction professionals (Trades certificate)

  • Qualified Architectural professionals

Building Services Technicians with professional certification:

  • Licensed builder

  • Air Conditioning and Mechanical installations

  • Hydraulic Services installations

  • Fire Services installations both hydraulic and electrical

  • Electrical supply services installations

Essential requirements

  • Fully Vaccinated in COVID-19

  • Working with Children Check

  • Police Check

  • Full unrestricted Drivers Licence
